The agile salamander [1] ( Latin: Plethodon yonahlossee ) is a species of tailed amphibians of the genus Forest salamander ( Plethodon ) of the family Pulmonary salamanders ( Plethodontidae ).

The species is endemic to the United States . Distributed in the mountains of the Blue Ridge in the east of the country in the states of Tennessee , North Carolina and Virginia , where it is found in temperate forests and among rocks at an altitude of 437 to 1737 meters above sea level [2] .
