Sioux Falls Skyforce Sioux Falls is an American professional basketball club that plays at the Eastern Conference of the Central Division of the NBA Development League . It is the farm club of the Miami Heat National Basketball Association team.

Franchise History
Continental Basketball Association
The club was formed in 1989 in the city of Sioux Falls , South Dakota , to participate in the CBA Championship. Their games were held at the Sioux Falls Arena. Sioux Falls won the CBA Championship twice (1996, 2005). “Sioux Falls Skyforce” three times, in 1996, 2000, 2003, hosted the match of all CBA stars.
In the 2001-2002 season, the CBA championship was not played out until the end, due to bankruptcy of the league. Sioux Falls Skyfors decided to play in the International Basketball League. However, already in the next season, the problems at NEA were resolved, and Sioux Falls Skyfors returned to the league.
NBA Development League
In 2006, SkyFors joined the D-League . In the first two seasons, they certainly got into the playoffs of the championship. The next time they got into the playoffs in the season 2009-2010, where they lost to the Tulsa 66 team in the first round. In 2013, they moved to a new arena, at the Sanford Pentagon. In 2014, they played slightly better by defeating the Canton Charge team in the first round and losing in the semifinals to the future champion of the Fort Wayne Mad Ents league.
