Novo Selo ( Serb. Novo Selo ) is a village in the Bielina community of the Republika Srpska Bosnia and Herzegovina . The population is 1229 people according to the 2013 census [1] .

According to the census of 1942, there were 1.5 thousand Germans living in the village, whom the occupying power resettled in Poland [3] .
History
The status of community settlement received in 1907 [3] . During the existence of Austria-Hungary, it was called Franz-Josefsfeld ( Ger . Franz-Josefsfeld ), in the interwar years it was called Petrovo-Pole ( Serb. Petrovo Poye ), during World War II it was named Schoenberg ( Schenberg ) after the first soldier Wehrmacht, entered the village [3] . In 1913, the first telephone set was installed in the village, and in 1925 a radio appeared [3] .
