Biography
Born in the village of Chirkovo in the family of a priest of the Vladimir province. In 1857, he completed his studies at the Vladimir Theological Seminary , and in 1861 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Theological Academy , receiving first a candidate’s degree, and two years later a master of theology. Since 1861, he taught for about seven years, and later more than thirty years, was an inspector of the Nizhny Novgorod Theological Seminary .
He began his literary activity in the 1860s with essays on the life of the rural clergy, which were published in the magazine “The Wanderer ” (1860–1880): “Worldly help from a village priest”, “Winter evening”, “Bright resurrection in the village”, “Village teacher -priest ”,“ Orphan's share ”,“ Old and new in the life of the rural clergy ”,“ Victims of unreasonable education ”,“ Fellow settlers ”. He placed the same stories in The Spirit of the Christian (Unenviable Share, Evening of the Bright Day). All these stories of Polisadov differed, according to critics, in their knowledge of the family life of the clergy and great truthfulness. In the magazines " Soldier Talk " and "The Wanderer" Polisadov published essays from the popular life: "Runaway", "Spoiled", "Good and Thin Glory", "Guardian Angel", "Old Elm", "A Blessing in Goodness" and others. In 1864-1870 he was the editor of the newspaper Nizhny Novgorod Diocesan Vedomosti, for which he himself wrote a lot. He also served on the committee of the church ancient storehouse at the Nizhny Novgorod Theological Seminary. He spent the last years of his life in Moscow. He was alive in 1911, but the exact date of death has not been established.
