Game career
A graduate of the Kharkov Academy of Metalist . After completing the training, he was enrolled in the youth team of Kharkiv. In the 2013/14 season, he played 15 matches and scored 1 goal against the 19-year-old Shakhtar players. The next season he played mainly for the youth team.
He made his debut in the Premier League on March 1, 2015 in a away match against Dynamo Kyiv . In this game, in addition to Antonov, T-shirts of the first team of Kharkiv were also first put on by Bogdan Boychuk , Alexey Kovtun , Maxim Averyanov , Egor Chegurko , Sergey Sizy and Vladimir Barilko [1] . Such a “group debut” of Kharkov youth players became possible due to the boycott by the leaders of Metalist of the start of the spring part of the Ukrainian championship due to the club's failure to fulfill contractual obligations to them [2] .
After this match, a prohibited substance, methandienone, was found in Dmitry's doping test. According to the requirements of the WADA Code and the FIFA Anti-Doping Rules, the footballer was suspended from the game for 4 years [3] [4] .
