Grigory Avramovich Falkovich (or Avraamovich ) (born June 25, 1940 , Kiev ) is a Soviet and Ukrainian poet and scientist. Scientific Secretary of the Research Institute. President of the International Forum "Peace be with you!" Chairman of the Board of the Kiev Cultural and Educational Society named after Sholom-Aleichem. Member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine and the International Pen Club. Deputy Chairman of the Prize Committee. Sholem Aleichem. Initiator of the publication and member of the editorial board of the Anthology of Jewish Poetry [1]

Biography
Grigory Falkovich was born on June 25, 1940 in Kiev .
He worked as a radio master, sergeant-rocket and engineer [2] . In the army he was a freelance correspondent for the district newspaper “For the Glory of the Motherland”.
From 1962 to 1967 he studied at the T. G. Shevchenko Kiev State University (at the Faculty of Philology with a degree in Russian and Bulgarian Philology).
He worked at the Institute of Linguistics. A. A. Potebni NAS of Ukraine .
Organizer of consumer movement in Ukraine. Since 1999, he became chairman of the Kiev Jewish Cultural and Educational Society named after Sholom Aleichem.
October 12, 2010 in the White lounge of the Kiev House of Scientists , the Rainbow magazine spent the evening of Grigory Falkovich, which passed [3] .
March 20, 2012 at the National Museum of Literature of Ukraine, Grigory Avramovich became the first winner of the Sholom Aleichem Prize [4]
