Jiří Pražák (October 16, 1846, Loket - April 1905, Prague) is an Austro-Hungarian Czech lawyer , lawyer and teacher , an expert in Austrian administrative and constitutional law.

Biography

From 1855 to 1863 he studied at the gymnasium in Opava, from 1864 to 1867 - at the University of Prague . After graduating from the Faculty of Law in Prague, he was engaged in judicial and legal practice. He was rehabilitated in 1875 in the field of administrative law, but after the rehabilitation he was involved (since 1878) in constitutional law. After dividing Prague University into two (with teaching in German and Czech), he worked as a professor of public law (from 1884) at the Czech University and was from 1889 to 1900 the dean and from 1890 to 1901 the faculty of law, in 1893 he was elected rector and in 1894, vice-rector of the Czech University. He was elected to the Czech Zemsky Diet in 1895, was awarded the Order of the Iron Crown of class III. From 1872 to 1897 he was co-editor of the magazine Právnik.

Of the works of Prazhak in Czech, the more famous are: “About žalobě pro obohacení dle práva občanského” (1872), “Nárok expopriata na vypiacení přiměřené náhrady” (1875), “About příslušností soudů a úvadíuá spál up upad, upvadra spr up zákonů zemských "(1887)," About úkolech vědy práva veřejného "(1892)," Rakouské právo ústavní "(2 ed. 1903 and 1905). He wrote in German: "Das Recht der Enteignung in Oesterreich" (1877), "Beiträge zum Budgetrecht und zur Lehre von den formellen Gezetzen" (1887), "Wasserrechtliche Competenzfragen erörtert auf Grund des österr. Rechtes ”(1892).
