The film received the support of the Institute of Sundance and was nominated from Iraq for the Oscar (2011) in the category "Best film in a foreign language" [1] , but was not included in the number of nominees [2] .
Story
The film takes place shortly after the fall of the regime of Saddam Hussein . Grandmother and grandson go on a long journey to find their son and father, who went missing in 1991. Their path lies from Iraqi Kurdistan to Nasiriyah , where the prison for prisoners of war is located, and in which the travelers believe their close relative is languishing. The grandmother does not understand Arabic and speaks with counterparts in a Kurdish language incomprehensible to them.
