In 1956 he graduated from the Kiev Pedagogical Institute.
In 1960 - 1964 he worked in the main edition of the Ukrainian Soviet Encyclopedia .
In 1964 - 1992 - in the publishing house " Naukova Dumka " (since 1967 - chief editor, since 1975 - director).
Since 1986 - Head. Department of the History of Science and Technology TSIPIN NAS of Ukraine.
Scientific achievements
The studies are devoted to the history of physics, the history and theory of scientific schools (physical), the history of natural sciences of Ukraine and the NAS of Ukraine. He developed a periodization of the development of physics, an approach to presenting its history, a model of a modern scientific school, identified a number of physical schools, introduced many facts and names of physicists into scientific circulation.
