In 1996, the company was headed by Sergey Udachin , who soon gained control of the main shareholding. In 1997, the company acquired meat processing plants in Luga , Volkhov and Tikhvin , and the production volumes at the basic St. Petersburg enterprise after a characteristic decline in the early 1990s were brought to the level of Soviet times [1] . In the late 1990s, the company also began vertical integration - in the early 2000s, the Rassvet livestock farm near St. Petersburg was acquired (the meat stock of which soon brought up to 10 thousand heads of cattle) [1] and a plant monopolist for the production of protein sausage casings in the Meadow [2] . In the mid-2000s, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development entered the company's capital in a 30% share and large meat plants in Pervomaisky and Tver [1] were bought with raised funds, and meat plants in Ipatovo , Sterlitamak and Gotne were purchased at about the same time. By 2007, the company’s share in the Russian meat gastronomy market was 1.7%, while Parnas-M was one of the leading three producers in the meat products market of the North-West of Russia, and counted on five leading Russian meat producers as regional expansion progressed [1 ] .

In September 2008, it was reported that Udachny had sold the main share in the company to the owners of the Sinyavinsky poultry farm , headed by Nikita Melnikov [3] , but later it became known that at the last moment the deal fell through [4] . The amount of the failed transaction by observers was estimated in the range of $ 28.3-79 million, the debt load of the company at that time consisted of a debt of 800 million rubles. on a credit line to Nomos Bank and 1 billion rubles. on a bond loan [3] . In November of the same year, the company filed a lawsuit about its own bankruptcy , in 2010 the company introduced external management [5] . In the process of debt settlement in 2010, the company lost the Volkhov, Tver, Tikhvin and Ipatovsky meat plants [6] .

The company withdrew from bankruptcy proceedings in 2013, but at the end of 2014 it again filed for insolvency, as a result, external management was again introduced, the amount of debt amounted to 2 billion rubles. [7] [5] The company's problems in 2014 could be caused by rebranding (a change in the decoration of product labels), which resulted in a drop in sales of Parnas-M brand products in retail chains due to loss of consumer recognition [5] .

The company's production assets as of the end of 2014 were the Parnas-M meat processing plant in St. Petersburg, the meat processing plant in Pervomaisky, Tambov Oblast, the Novo-Sterlitamak meat processing plant, and the meat processing plant in Gotnya, Belgorod Region. The owners are Sergey Udachin (61.35%) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (24.41%).
