Biography
The son of anatomist Peter Petrovich Einbrodt .
Born in Moscow county . He was educated in a Moscow educational house , then he studied in the 2nd Moscow Gymnasium , which he graduated in 1851.
After graduating from the Medical Faculty of Moscow University in 1857, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine for his thesis “De pericarditide acuta” (“On acute pericarditis ”) and was appointed assistant prosector of comparative anatomy and physiology and taught these subjects to students. In 1858, he was sent abroad for two years, where he worked at the physiological institutes of E. Dubois-Reymond and C. Ludwig . Upon his return from abroad, he was appointed extraordinary professor at Moscow University in the department of physiology; in 1864, approved by the ordinary professor.
Pavel Petrovich Einbrodt arranged at the university a new physiological institute, in which his assistants were F. P. Sheremetevsky and A. I. Babukhin .
He died on July 26 ( August 7 ) of 1865 in Montreux (Switzerland) from hereditary pulmonary tuberculosis .
