In the Yngling Saga
Fjölnir was the son of Yngwie Freyr and Gerd, daughter of Gümir. Under him continued the "Frody world", established under his father. Frody Peacemaker was a contemporary and friend of Fjolnir. Two rulers often visited each other. It was on one of these trips that Frody bought Fenya and Menu in Sweden. Once, when Fjolnir was visiting Frody, he went at night out of need and, since he was sleepy and drunk, fell into a vat with honey, in which he drowned. About this writes Thiodolv of Hvinir :
Rock overtook
Death doom
Fjolnira
In the house of Frody.
Waiting for the end
Leader of the Paradise
In the driftless bay

In The Acts of Dan
In Book I, The Acts of the Danes , Fjölnir corresponds to Hunding and Frody to Hadding, but the details in the story of Hunding / Fjölnir’s death are different. Hunding received false news of Hading 's death and organized a sumptuous feast in memory of a friend. During this feast, he stumbled, fell into a huge tub with a drink and drowned [3] .
Offspring
The son of Fjolnir was Sveigdir , who ruled after his father.
The plot of Fjölnir in terms of science
It is assumed that the history of Fjölnir is an euhemerized myth: Fjölnir is a demon of grain, which must be drowned in a drink to give it a fortress [4] .
