Story
Season 1: Childhood
As a child, Yusuf had a prophetic dream, which father Yakub explained to him. He predicted to his son that "the Lord will teach you to interpret dreams and bestow upon you the kind of Yakub with perfect mercy."
The father’s anxious attitude towards Yusuf caused jealousy and hatred among his elder sons from his other wife, and conspiring, they decided to kill him, but at the last moment changed their minds and threw Yusuf into the well so that a passing caravan would take him far from home, and his father was told that he was torn to pieces by a wolf.
The boy was pulled out by caravans who were heading to Egypt , where they sold him to one of the nobles Pharaoh Potiphar for an insignificant price. Yusuf served Potiphar for years, receiving the new Egyptian name Yuzarsif. When Yusuf matured, his beauty began to drive crazy the noble women of the city, including Zuleykhu , the wife of the nobleman in whose house he lived. Refusing to share the bed with her, Yusuf was soon imprisoned by her slander.
Season 2: From Dungeon to Palace
In prison, Yusuf began to call people for monotheism , and also explained the dreams to two young men who were imprisoned with him, predicting one of them freedom, and the second - execution.
Yusuf sat in prison for several years, until one day Pharaoh had a dream that seven skinny cows devour seven fat ones, as well as seven green ears that were devoured by seven dried up ones. Yusuf interpreted this dream , predicting seven years of plentiful harvests and seven years of famine. Having explained that it is necessary to save food supplies, Yusuf saved the people of Egypt from starvation. The Pharaoh acquitted him and entrusted him with the management of the stocks and warehouses of the whole country.
Season 3: Reunion
Many years passed, and the Yusuf brothers, driven by want and hunger, arrived in Egypt. Recognizing the brothers, but not telling them about this, Yusuf provided them with provisions and sent for his younger brother Benjamin, promising to give him his inheritance personally. Upon arrival of Benjamin, Yusuf cunningly left his younger and beloved brother with him, and sent a messenger to his father. Soon, the parents and brothers of Yusuf, who repented of their deeds, moved to Egypt, and the father met his son after many years of separation.
