Jan Dreves Aachenbach ( born Jan Drewes Achenbach ; born August 20, 1935 , Leeuwarden , Netherlands) is an American scientist. Professor ( emerite ) Northwestern University .

Biography
He graduated from Delft University of Technology (1959) with a master's degree in science.
He received his Ph.D. from Stanford in 1962.
Member of NAS of the USA . Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (1994) [7] .
