Until 1922, it belonged to the Malivi volost of the Yegoryevsky district of the Ryazan province . In 2006-2017, it was the administrative center of the rural settlement of Zarudenskoye , in 1994-2006, it was the center of the Maksheevsky rural district .

- Sergey Alekseevich Kondrashkin (June 22, 1964) - Soviet sambo wrestler, USSR Championship winner, USSR Cup winner, USSR master of sports of the international class, trainer and teacher of the highest category. He was awarded the Badge of Honor "For Merits in the Development of Physical Culture and Sports in the Moscow Region".
