Until 1922, it belonged to the Malivi volost of the Yegoryevsky district of the Ryazan province . In 2006-2017, it was the administrative center of the rural settlement of Zarudenskoye , in 1994-2006, it was the center of the Maksheevsky rural district .

- Stepan Grigorievich Alishkin (1892-1956) - patriot, collective farmer, one of the initiators of the nationwide movement to raise funds for the Defense Fund during the Great Patriotic War.
- Sergey Alekseevich Kondrashkin (June 22, 1964) - Soviet sambo wrestler, USSR Championship winner, USSR Cup winner, USSR master of sports of the international class, trainer and teacher of the highest category. He was awarded the Badge of Honor "For Merits in the Development of Physical Culture and Sports in the Moscow Region".
