Story
Senior Detective Russ Agnew is employed by the Battle Creek Police in Michigan . The local police do not have sufficient funds to fight crime, working with outdated equipment and located in a small room, so at the highest level, a decision is made to open an FBI office in Battle Creek. The successful FBI agent Milton Chamberlain, who agrees with Agnew, is also being transferred from Detroit to the town.
Suddenly, in Battle Creek, there is a loud murder of two drug dealers, and Chamberlain takes Agnew as a partner. From this moment begins the cooperation of two completely different police officers.
Design and Production
In September 2013, Sony Pictures Television announced that it had struck a deal with CBS to produce a new television series called Battle Creek, based on a script by Vince Gilligan that he had written ten years earlier. Despite the name of the show, the series did not appear in Battle Creek, Michigan. However, most of the scenes in the opening credits were still filmed in this city. Also, actors playing the main characters visited Battle Creek in the summer of 2014 to watch the city, its inhabitants and especially the police department [1] . CBS ordered thirteen episodes, which guaranteed to show [1] .
