Career
Youth Career
Silva spent two years in the youth club Pateadores, as well as two years in the youth club Chivas USA . He studied at the Salesian School in Los Angeles [1] . Silva also played at the Santa Barbara Gauchos Club of the University of California, Santa Barbara , where he was repeatedly named the best player and included in the list of the best in the Great Western Conference . In his last year at Silva University, he scored 17 goals and made 10 assists, for which he was nominated for the Hermann Trophy Award - the prize for the best student football player in the United States.
Club career
During his studies at the university, Silva also played at the Orange County Blue Star Club of the PDL League , where his fellow Santa Barbara Gauchos Charlie Pettis and Christian Ramirez played. As part of the club, Silva scored 5 goals and made 2 assists in 10 matches [2] .
In 2012, Silva was drafted in fourth place in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft by the Canadian club Toronto [3] . He made his debut at the club on March 7, scoring a goal against Los Angeles Galaxy in the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions League . Silva scored his first goal in the championship on July 11 in a match against the Vancouver Whitecaps club, the game ended in a home victory 3–2 [4] . Three days later, Silva scored the only and winning goal in an away match against the New England Revolution [5] .
On July 9, 2013, Silva moved from Canada to the American club “ DC United ” [6] . He made his debut on July 20 in the match against the Chicago Fire , where he scored a goal from 27 meters [7] . The game ended with a score of 4: 1 in favor of the Chicago Fire. On June 11, 2014, in a guest match against Montreal Impact , Silva scored a hat-trick for Stud Saputo . The match ended with the victory of “black and red” with a score of 2: 4 [8] .
On July 16, 2015, Silva was traded to Real Salt Lake for Alvaro Saborio [9] . Silva made his debut for RSL on August 1 in a match against his former team, DC United, replacing Devon Sandoval in the 82nd minute.
In early 2016, Silva moved to the club of the championship of Mexico “ WANL Tigres ” [10] . His debut for the new team took place on August 17, 2016 in the CONCACAF Champions League match against Costa Rican Herediano .
In early 2017, Silva returned to Real Salt Lake. [11] [12] On July 22, 2017, in the match against Sporting Kansas City , he scored his first goal for the RSL [13] , it was his 29th game as part of the club [14] .
