Between 1970 and 1973, Ronstadt released three albums: two on Capitol Records: Silk Purse (1970) and Linda Ronstadt (1971) and one on Asylum Records - Don't Cry Now (1973). Having developed the sound of country rock, similar to the Eagles band, Ronstadt recorded Heart Like a Wheel in the 1974s, selling over 2 million copies.
