Kepler-440 b (formerly known as KOI-4087.01) is a confirmed exoplanet that is a super-earth and is in orbit in the habitable zone of the star Kepler-440 at a distance of about 850 light-years (261 parsecs ) from Earth. The planet was discovered in transit using the Kepler telescope . NASA announced the confirmation of the exoplanet on January 6, 2015 [2] .

Characteristics of the planet
Kepler-440 b is a super-earth with a radius of 1.86 R ⊕ . The planet makes one revolution around the star in 101.1 days.
Inhabitance
The planet is in the habitable zone of its star, theoretically liquid water can exist on the planet, which quite possibly creates quite comfortable conditions for the existence of primitive life forms on the planet's surface.
