Biography
Elena Shumkova was born in Perm on December 8, 1971 . In 1987 she entered the Perm Music and Pedagogical School No. 2 and graduated in 1991 with honors. In 1991 she entered the Perm State Pedagogical University at the Faculty of Music. In 1992 - 1993, she worked at school No. 7 as a music teacher. After graduating from PSPU, in 1995 she entered the II year of the Faculty of Arts of the Perm State Institute of Arts and Culture . In 1997, she took part in the 17th International Glinka Vocal Competition in Samara .
As a member of the troupe of the Perm Academic Opera House, the Opera and Ballet Theater performed on tour in Switzerland and Germany , and in 2005 at the Mariinsky Theater ( St. Petersburg ) as Oberto (Altsina).
