Filler (from English filler , filler) in the series with a through plot - additional material not related to the main plot, added to increase the duration of the show. In most cases, fillers are significantly weaker than the series related to the development of the plot, and are not necessary for its understanding.
Often used in lengthy anime series. For example, in Naruto Shippūden, out of 417 episodes of 165 released in mid-2015, were fully or partially filler [1] [2] . Fillers in such cases can be published for several months in a row [3] , forming whole new plot arches [4] . Sometimes the cause of the filler arches is a higher rate of release of the anime series than the original manga, which is used to draw anime [5] .
