The station was opened on May 15, 1987 .
The opening of the station was combined with the opening of the first line section of 5.4 km and 5 more stationsː “Busan” , “Chkhoryan” , “Busanjin” , “Chvachhon” and “Pomil” .
In the immediate vicinity of the station are Busan Customs, Busan Museum of Modern History , Russian Consulate in Busan, Busan Central Post Office, Busan Port International Maritime Station.
