Biography
After graduating from a Paris college, Stanislav began a legal career.
Doctor of Law, Attorney at the Court of Appeal of Paris. He collaborated as a journalist and court reporter with a number of French newspapers. Co-founder of La Revue de l'évolution , a member of the Central Revolutionary Committee, which in 1897 was transformed into the French Revolutionary Socialist Party.
Talented publicist and speaker. In 1904, he advanced as one of the leaders of the socialist party. Samba in his activities paid much attention to the trade union movement and labor legislation. Shortly before the First World War, he delivered a pacifist pamphlet written in the spirit of J. Jaures .
With the outbreak of war he became a social patriot. In August 1914, he joined the second government of national unity of Viviani (August 26, 1914 - October 29, 1915) as Minister of Public Works. He was a member of the Human Rights League.
In the French Socialist Party, Samba occupied the right flank, defending the ideas of the left bloc and the government coalition.
Member of the French National Assembly (1893-1922).

- One of the Paris metro stations and the Lyceum in Sotteville-le-Rouen ( Seine-Maritime ) was named after Marcel Samba.
