Silian's father was the consul of 20 BC. e. Publish Celius Nerve . From his name it follows that he, apparently, was adopted by a certain Licinius Nerva. In 7 year, Silian served as an ordinary consul along with Quintus Cecilius Metellus of Crete Silan . His grandson, obviously, was the consul of 65, who bore the same name .
