From June 10, 1945 until the disbandment of the 5th Guards. A. was part of the Central Group of Forces. In December 1946, the army’s command was disbanded, and the regiment was transferred to the USSR as part of the 13th guards motorized rifle of the Poltava Order of Lenin twice the Red Banner Orders of the Suvorov and Kutuzov divisions of the 38th Army of the PrikVO (until 1957, UGV, and since 1957. The 21st Guards Tank Poltava Order of Lenin twice the Red Banner Orders of the Suvorov and Kutuzov Division), as the 15th tank Kiev Red Banner Orders of the Suvorov, Kutuzov and Alexander Nevsky Regiment. And since 1965 - the 13th Guards Tank Poltava Order of Lenin twice the Red Banner Order of the Suvorov and Kutuzov Division, as the 201st Kiev Red Banner Order of the Suvorov, Kutuzov and Alexander Nevsky Regiment.
The regiment went a glorious battle path. For the difference in the battles for the capture of Kiev, the regiment was given the name Kiev, and later its name became the 39th Kiev separate tank regiment (Order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of November 17, 1943 No. 42).
In the battles for the liberation of the country, many soldiers of the regiment bravely fought and among them a company under the command of Art. Lieutenant A. I. Khalamenyuk , who on January 12 entered into combat with the Tiger tanks and knocked out 3 of them. In this battle, Halamenyuk ended all armor-piercing shells. And then the fearless officer on the burning tank rammed into the enemy machine with a ramming strike. Both tanks exploded. So A.I. Khalamenyuk died. On April 10, 1945, A. I. Halamenyuk was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for his high combat skill, courage and courage. Enrolled forever in the lists of the military unit.
