Bellevalia kurdistanica (lat.) Is a species of monocotyledonous plants of the genus Belvalia of the Asparagaceae family ( Asparagaceae ). First described by the Israeli botanist Naomi Feinbrun in 1939 [2] [3] .

Description
Bulbous perennial , reaches 25-35 cm in height. Bulb 2-3.5 cm in diameter. Five to six leaves , the widest of them up to 17–20 mm wide, linear or ribbon-like, with a wavy, ciliated margin.
Flowering arrows of 1-2 (rarely 3) for each plant, inferior in length to the leaves, carry a multi-flowered brush up to 3.5-5 cm long (sometimes up to 12 cm). Top brush flowers are often underdeveloped, lilac in color. The pedicels are soon bent up, lilac. Perianth 9-11 mm long, in buds white or lilac, then becomes pale yellow, limb leaflets oblong-ovate, about two times shorter than the tube. Anthers lilac.
The stem is thickened, 2 cm long. The box reveals three shutters, 12-13 mm long. [four]
The number of chromosomes - 2n = 16 [5] .
Dissemination and ecology
It occurs from the east of Turkey to the north of Iraq [6] . The type specimen is collected in Hakkari mud [7] .
It grows on rocky pastures over the hills.
