Aitiev, Abdrakhman Aitievich

Aitiev, Abdurakhman (1886, aul Sugirbay former Terektinsky volost of the Ural province - 1936), statesman. He graduated from the Russian-Kazakh school in Karatobe (1901). In 1917-1920, during the October events in the West Kazakhstan region and in the civil war, he supported the Bolsheviks. In 1920-1921, he actively participated in the delimitation of the northern border of the Kazakh autonomy, was chairman of the Akmola Provincial Committee. In 1921 - Commissar of Internal Affairs of the Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . Aitiev was one of the authors of the draft of the first Constitution of the Kazakh SSR .
