Gadzhimurad Zairbekovich Omarov (born February 23, 1962 ) - Russian politician, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the 3rd convocation (2000-2003), 7th convocation [1] . The leader of the regional branch of " Fair Russia " in Dagestan (2012-2015).

Biography
Born February 23, 1962 . By nationality - Avar. In 1986 he graduated from Dagestan State University , majoring in law. In 1999, he was elected to the State Duma of the Russian Federation from Dagestan in a single-mandate constituency [2] . He was a member of the State Duma Committee on Credit Organizations and Financial Markets; a member of the deputy group "People’s Deputy" and the State Duma Commission on the issue of the television program "Parliamentary Hour" [3] .
At various times, Omarov was a member of the parties " Just Cause ", the Liberal Democratic Party , the People’s Party [4] .
In 2004 - 2007 - Deputy Chairman of the People’s Party of the Russian Federation [5]
In June 2012, Gadzhimurad Omarov headed the regional branch of the Just Russia party. In November of the same year, he immediately expelled 2,300 people from the party’s regional branch, including deputies of district and city assemblies and deputies of the People’s Assembly, and in their place took new people [6] .
In October 2012, he was one of the organizers of the alternative Congress of Dagestan Peoples held in Moscow , the participants of which accused the incumbent authorities of provocations and demanded the resignation of the President of Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov [4] .
In 2016, the number of the regional list of the Just Russia party was nominated first in the State Duma elections in Bashkiria [2] .
Beating
On February 21, after a reporting and election conference of the Dagestan branch of A Just Russia, he was beaten by several people. According to Omarav, “the former assistant to the head of the republic, who now holds the post of deputy minister in the Dagestan government,” led the people who beat him. After the incident, Omarov went to Moscow for treatment [7] . As a result of the beating, Omarov received a closed fracture of the left clavicle in the middle third with displacement of fragments, a closed craniocerebral injury, a concussion, a closed fracture of the nasal bones without displacement, multiple bruises of the soft tissues of the head, face, chest, extremities. March 16 after surgery on the collarbone G. Omarov was discharged from the Research Institute. N. Sklifosovsky [8] .
On March 10, lawyer Z. Mirzaev filed an application with the investigative department of the Leninsky district of the Makhachkala TFR in Dagestan. On March 20, it became known that Mirzaeva filed a complaint to the Makhachkala District Court about the inaction of law enforcement agencies [8] . On March 31, the Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala began to examine the complaint [9] .
At the end of April 2015, in the case of the beating of Omarov, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Dagestan was detained Magomed Alkhasov [10] . Suspect Alkhasov pleaded not guilty, after which the interrogating officer chose a preventive measure - house arrest. After receiving the results of a forensic examination, the case of beating Omarov was reclassified to article 112 (part 2) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of moderate severity of harm to health committed by a group of people out of hooligan motives) [11] .
In June 2015, Omarov resigned as chairman of the Dagestan regional branch of Just Russia of his own free will. The new head of the regional branch was elected the head of the SR faction in the People’s Assembly of Dagestan Kamil Davdiev [12] . According to Omarov, he resigned at the request of party leader Sergei Mironov , who was pressured by the Head of Dagestan, Ramazan Abdulatipov , using contacts in the Presidential Administration of Russia [13] .
