Yanchen ( Kit. Уп 城 , Pinyin : Yǎnchéng ) is a district of urban subordination of Lohee County, Henan Province ( PRC ). The name of the district means “the city of Yang”; It is named after the Yang inheritance that existed in these places in ancient times.

History
In the days of the Xia dynasty, there was a specific possession of Yan (tzu) (郾 (子)) in these places.
When the Han Empire was established, Yenxian County (郾 县) was established.
Under the Sui Empire, in 585, Yancheng County (郾城 создан) was created, to which Shaolin County (召陵 县) was joined.
In 1948, the city of Lokhe was separated from the county.
In 1949, the Xuchang Special District (区 区 区区) was created, and the county became part of it.
In 1960, Yancheng County was annexed to the city of Lohei, but in 1961 they were again divided.
In 1969, the Xuchang Special District was renamed Xuchang District (许昌).
In 1986, by the resolution of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Xuchang District was disbanded, and the county became part of the newly formed city district of Lohe.
In 2004, by a resolution of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Yancheng County was disbanded, and Yancheng and Shaolin districts were formed instead.
