Research Interests

The area of scientific interests of V. A. Naumov is minerageny of natural placer and ore objects with noble metal mineralization within the platform and orogenic areas, patterns of formation (technogenesis), transformation (technogenesis), composition control (technorudogenesis) of technogenic-mineral formations and noble metals.

V.A. Naumov is one of the leading specialists in the Perm Territory in the field of the geology of solid minerals, gold placers and industrial deposits. He led dozens of field expeditions for the geological study of alluvium and terrigenous strata in many parts of our country and abroad. With colleagues from the IGEM RAS opened a new mineral - isovit (cubic chromium carbide).

In 2006–2008, the Russian side led an international project with the Geological Service of the Yukon Territory ( Canada ) on geology, searching for and substantiating the prospects for developing alluvial gold from natural and man-made objects of Klondike .

V.A. Naumov participated in the work of the International Geological Congresses ( China , Brazil , Norway ), VI – VII congresses of geologists of Russia . The organizer of a number of meetings, including on the geology of the Komi-Permyatsky AO ( Kudymkar , 2003), the XIII International Meeting on the geology of placers and the weathering crust (Perm, 2005). In 2010, the laureate (together with B. M. Osovetsky and O. B. Naumova) received a grant from the State Enterprise “ZUMK” (certificate of III degree) for conducting research and proposals for extracting gold (for example, gold facilities in Russia and Uzbekistan ).

Scientific Project Manager for the Federal Target Program of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation (2004–2007 and 2012–2014); Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation (2013); Perm Target Program (2005).

Passed internships in such universities as: University of Reiding ( United Kingdom ); Institute of Geology and Mineralogy of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences ( Novosibirsk ); National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology Palermo ( Italy ).
