Friedrich Zucker ( German: Friedrich Zucker ; 06/30/1881, Fuerth - 04/04/1973, Hamburg ) - German classic philologist, epigraphist and papyrologist. Professor of the University of Jena (1918-1961), his rector. Laureate of the national prize of the GDR (1954).

Foreign member of the Berlin Academy of Sciences (1969, ordinary member in 1949-69, member since 1948) [3] .
Born in the family of a school teacher. He received his doctorate in 1904 at the University of Munich.
Since 1911, a private assistant professor at the University of Munich.
Member of the First World War, was wounded.
Since 1918, professor of classical philology at the University of Tübingen.
