Alprenolol , or Alfeprol ( Gubernal , Regletin , Yobir , Aplobal , Aptin , Aptol Duriles ) is a non - selective β-blocker with moderate partial intrinsic sympathomimetic activity, as well as an antagonist of 5-HT 1A receptors [1] used in the treatment of ischemic heart disease . [2] It is no longer manufactured by Astra Zeneca, but it is still manufactured by a number of other pharmaceutical companies in the form of generics.

The chemical structure is close to oxprenolol . Indications for use in cardiac practice are the same as for propranolol and oxprenolol.
