"Flashdance ... What a Feeling" was released on April 3, 1983 . The song was awarded the Golden Globe Award for the best song as part of the 40th Golden Globe Award Ceremony [1] , the Grammy Award for Best Female Vocal Pop Performance and received an Academy Award for Best Original Composition . The song finished third on the 1983 Billboard Top Singles list. In 2008, the song took 26th place in the list of the best songs in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 . [3]
In the United Kingdom, the song spent one week on the second line of the UK Singles Chart on July 5, 1983. [one]
In 2001, Jerry Halliwell borrowed some of the ideas for the video for her video, “It's Raining Men.”
In 2002, Jennifer Lopez borrowed the whole idea of the video for her video “I'm Glad”.

In 2000, Swiss musician DJ BoBo, together with Irene Cara, recorded a new version of the song, titled “What a Feeling” [15] and was included in his 2001 album Planet Colors [16] . In 2002, he rewrote it for his jubilee compilation Celebration .
The song was performed live in many DJ BoBo concert tours, including Celebration (with Irene) [17] .

“ What a Feeling (Flashdance) ” is the second single of the Austrian electronic band Global Deejays from their debut album Network . This song is a cover version of the hit “Flashdance ... What a Feeling” from the 1983 popular movie “ Flash Dance ”.
The name of the song differs in different versions - in the Clubhouse Album Mix version the song is called “What a Feeling (Flashdance)”, and in the album version it is simply “Flashdance”.
