Temnothorax solidinodus (lat.) Is a species of small-sized ants of the genus tribe Formicoxenini from the subfamily Myrmicinae of the family Formicidae [1] .

Distribution
Afrotropics ( Kenya , Kakamega Forest) [1] .
Description
Small light brown ants (2-3 mm). Antenna scapus short (does not reach occipital margin of head). The head is longer than its width (CI 91) with parallel sides. Head Length (HL) 0.72 mm; the width of the head (HW) is 0.66 mm, the length of the scape of the antennae (SL) is 0.507 mm. Clypeus and abdomen smooth and shiny. Propodeal spines short. The antennae of workers and females are 12-segmented. Small families live in nests located in the litter and wood residues [1] .
Systematics
The species Temnothorax solidinodus was first described in 2015 by Matthew Prebus (University of California, Davis, Davis, California , USA ). It is included in the species group Temnothorax angustulus species group [1] .
