The Metropolis of Eleftherpol ( Greek Ιερά Μητρόπολη Ελευθερουπόλεως ) is the diocese of the New Lands of the Greek Orthodox Church . Like other dioceses of the “New Lands” it is also formally subordinate to the Patriarchate of Constantinople . The center of the diocese is the city of in Greece .

In 1889, the Patriarch of Constantinople Dionysius V elevated the diocese to the rank of Metropolitanate.
