Alessandro "Alex" Venturella ( Italian: Alessandro Venturella ) is a British musician who participated as a guitarist in the British metal band Krokodil . He previously repaired guitars on tour for Mastodon 's Brent Hinds , Coheed & Cambria , and Fightstar , and now he is the bassist for Slipknot .

Slipknot
In October 2014, Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor was surprised that Venturella was discovered playing the bass in the video for the song “ The Devil In I ”. The unique tattoo on Venturella’s right arm betrayed him, despite the fact that all the musicians were wearing masks and hoods. Taylor said the following about Venturell and the new drummer: “They are not yet official members of the band, but they are people who play with the band. Time will tell whether they can become full members of the group or not. So far they play well and we like to play with them ” [1] . On October 25th, Venturella first performed with the band at Knotfest 2014 .
On December 3, 2014, former drummer Slipknot released a photo list of the band during the tour, showing that bassist Venturella and drummer Jay Weinberg are indeed new members of the band. [2]
On August 2, during one of the concerts in support of the band’s fifth album, Venturella felt unwell, after which he was hospitalized. A survey of the musician showed severe dehydration. A few days later, Alex continued touring with the group.
Mask
Since Alessandro Venturella is currently, like Jay Weinberg, a temporary participant, their masks are almost identical. It is a fabric mask covering the face and worn over the black cap comforter. There is lightning on the mouth, and on the forehead there is a nine-pointed star (one of the Slipknot logos). During a North American tour in 2016, Alex wore a mask without a balaclava. Starting with Knotfest 2016, he changed it a little, adding a couple of scars. For the sixth album, Alessandro modified his mask; it resembles a wrestler mask; he painted the mask in red.
