Vlas Mizinets (real name and surname is Vasily Vladimirovich Matchuk ) ( Ukrainian Vlas Mizinets ; May 8, 1907 , pp. Zapolye, Volyn province , Russian Empire (now Lyuboml district of Volyn region , Ukraine ) - August 11, 1943 , Lyuboml ) - Ukrainian poet and publicist, active activist of the revolutionary underground in Western Ukraine.

Biography
Born into a peasant family. During the First World War, he was evacuated with his family to the Kursk province. He graduated from the parish school. He worked as a clerk for a justice of the peace. Met in the best works of the classics of Russian literature. In 1919 he returned to Volyn .
Member of the CPSU since 1926. An active participant in revolutionary activities in the territories occupied by the Polish regime. Repeatedly for being a member of the Communist Party, he was harassed and arrested. For the first time, in 1929, then he went to jail twice more - in 1930 and 1935. In the 1935 police case, "Comrade Vlas" was described as a "convinced communist and a very dangerous element."
Warmly welcomed the reunification of Western Ukraine with the Ukrainian SSR . Since September 1939 he worked as the head teacher of a school in his native village. Zaporizhia, taught literature. During the Great Patriotic War he participated in the underground struggle against the Nazi occupiers.
He was captured by the Germans, was in a prisoner of war camp in Helm , from which he fled. Prior to his next arrest, Vasily Matchuk was a liaison with a partisan detachment in Luboml.
On August 11, 1943, after terrible torture in a Nazi dungeon, he was shot in a suburb of Luboml.
Creativity
He wrote autobiographical short stories, poems. He made his debut in 1928 in the Lviv magazine "Windows" ("Vіkna"). Then he took the literary pseudonym Vlas Pinky .
He was published in the magazines “Radiance”, “Worker”, “Western Ukraine” ( Kharkov ), “Culture of the Masses” ( Moscow ), “Metal Days” ( Odessa ), “Postup” ( Lutsk ), “Ukrainian Schistenny Visti” ( USA ) , calendar "Book"; since 1932 he was an employee of "Windows"; after the defeat of the magazine in 1934 - in the almanac "Potseybich".
The magazine “Windows” No. 12 for 1930-1931 among the winners of the competition noted the work “Miracle” by Vlas Littlefinger. In the Ukrainian SSR he published a collection of short stories “Vikonati!” ( Kharkov , 1932). In his works he showed the revolutionary struggle of the masses, the growth of consciousness of the working people.
He was a member of the Association of revolutionary writers of Western Ukraine " Gorno ", a member of the Union of Writers of Ukraine.
