The women's mass start competition at the World Speed Skating Championships 2015 was held on February 15 at the Tialf skating rink in Heerenveen , the Netherlands . 22 athletes took part in the races. Mass start was included in the program of the World Cup for the first time. Prize-winners at intermediate stages, as well as at the finish, were awarded points. The final place was determined by the number of points scored. The place of the participants who did not score points was determined by the time of the distance
