Biography
Born in the family of Edward Alexander Raczynski and Rouge Potocki from Krasinsky . Sibling of Edward Bernard Raczynski and stepbrother (father) Karol Roger Raczynski .
He graduated from the gymnasium named after John III Sobieski in Krakow . He studied agriculture in Leipzig (graduated in 1913) and art in Munich .
The outbreak of World War I caught him in Russia. He became a member of the National Polish Committee . After independence, Poland returned to his homeland and began working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs . Member of the Polish delegation at the Versailles Conference . Then I Secretary of the Embassy in Rome , the head of the essay of national minorities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and then the delegate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Poznan liquidation commission.
In 1921, he took up the development of his Rogalyan possessions, while simultaneously participating in the organization of conservative parties in Poznan and Warsaw. In 1927 he was one of the Greater Poland delegates at the congress of conservatives in Dzikov. He supported cooperation with the sanitation authorities. Organized the Catholic Union of Western Lands in Poznan. Then he joined the BBWR , becoming his regional vice president, and then president in the Poznan region. From October 11, 1929 to July 31, 1934, the Poznan governor . Despite his connections with the sanitation authorities, he enjoyed the support of the population.
From 1934 to 1936, Vice Minister of Agriculture. In 1938 he returned to the diplomatic service and was appointed Polish Ambassador to Bucharest . In this post he met the beginning of World War II . In September 1939, he played an important role in the creation of the government of Władysław Sikorski in Paris , when Romania refused to intern the Polish military, departing to its territory. He remained at the post of ambassador until November 1940, until after the defeat of France , Romania joined the Tripartite Pact and did not break off diplomatic relations with Poland.
Since 1942, the ambassador of Poland to the Greek government . First in London , then in Cairo and Athens . Died in this post.
His marriage with Helena Rogozinsky (1892-1966), concluded in 1925, remained childless.
He was awarded the Order of the Renaissance of Poland, the degree of commander in 1930.
