Shein, Anatoly Borisovich

Anatoly Borisovich Shein ( May 14, 1956 , Perm ) - Soviet, Russian chemist , doctor of chemical sciences , professor , head of the department of physical chemistry (since 2000 ), dean of the department of chemistry ( 2003 - 2013 ) at Perm University , corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Developer of new functional electrode materials and electrochemical technologies , co-author of several Soviet and Russian inventions.

Biography

Born in Perm. In 1978 he graduated with honors from the Department of Chemistry of Perm University . Student of professors V.V. Kuznetsov and G.V. Khaldeev .

Since 1979, he was a junior researcher at the ENI Electrochemistry Laboratory at Perm University , and at the same time entered post-graduate studies at the Department of Physical Chemistry of PSU .

In 1984 he defended his thesis on "Corrosion-electrochemical behavior of elastically deformable metals and alloys in inhibited electrolytes" at Voronezh State University .

Since 1987 - Head and Scientific Director of the Electrochemistry Laboratory of the ENI . [one]

In 1989, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission, a certificate of a senior researcher was issued.

In 1996-1999 he studied at the doctoral program at the Department of Physical Chemistry of PSU, in May 1999 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Corrosion-electrochemical behavior of silicides and germanides of metals of the iron subgroup." [2]

Since 2000 - Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Perm University .

From 2003 to 2013 - Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry of Perm University . Transferred this post to I.V. Mashevskaya .

In 1988, he completed a scientific internship at the Dresden Technical University ( Germany ), and in 1994 - at the University of Manchester ( England ); in the 2000s - At the University of Oxford and the University of Reading ( England ).

In the election of the rector of Perm University, he became the closest competitor of I. Yu. Makarikhin . [3] [4]
