Career
He began to play basketball in the DYUK No. 2 of the city of Minsk . The first coach is Vitaliy Gennadevich Radyuk. Since 2009, has been training in the CSKA youth system.
In the 2014/2015 season, he was involved in the games of the main team of the army club, taking part in three Euroleague matches and three VTB United League matches , with a total of 7 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and an interception in 24 minutes on the floor. As part of CSKA-2, he became the winner of the VTB United Youth League . His average performance was 15.9 points (57% of two-points, 45.4% of three-points, 72.8% of penalties), 6.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.9 interceptions and 0.9 block shots in 24, 5 minutes In January 2015, he was recognized as the best player of the month [1] , and before the start of the playoffs of the championship - the regular season MVP [2] .
Before the start of the season 2015/2016 signed a 5-year contract with CSKA . Astapkovich became the champion of the Euroleague , the champion of the VTB United League and the champion of Russia as part of the main team of CSKA, but appeared on the site only occasionally, taking part in 3 matches of the Euroleague and 4 - of the VTB United League. As part of CSKA-2, he became the champion of VTB United Youth League and was recognized as the “Best attacking defender” of the “Final Eight” tournament. In June 2016, on loan, he became a player of Avtodor until the end of the 2016/2017 season [3] . Astapkovich spent 22 matches of VTB United League , gaining an average of 1.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.5 interceptions in 7.8 minutes. In 12 games of the FIBA Champions League, his average statistics was 1.0 points, 0.5 rebounds, 0.5 interceptions and 0.4 assists in 5.1 minutes.

During this time, he managed to check out statistics with 7.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists. In 29 VTB United League games, Anton scored 8.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2 assists.
In July 2019, Astapkovich and Nizhny Novgorod signed a new 2-year contract [7] .
Russian national team
In the summer of 2016, Astapkovich received an invitation to the “Open RBF Camp”, following which several players will be able to join the training of the main Russian team [8] .
In May 2017, Astapkovich was again summoned to the “Open camp of the RBF”, the participants of which will join the main meeting of the national team [9] .
In June 2017, Astapkovich was included in the Russian national team, compiled on the basis of the results of the open RBF Open Camp, and took part in the BRICS Sports Games basketball tournament [10] . Having won all three rivals (South Africa, India and China), the Russian team won the tournament [11] .
In January 2019, Astapkovich was included in the reserve list of the Russian national team for participation in the qualification games of the 2019 World Cup [12] .
Personal life
In August 2015, he received a Russian passport. Prior to obtaining Russian citizenship, a native of Belarus, lived in Moscow for the past six years, worked in the CSKA youth project, has long dealt with citizenship, had a residence permit, received a university diploma in the summer of 2015, and this allowed him to obtain Russian citizenship on a common basis [13] .
November 27, 2018 in Anton and his girlfriend Elena officially became husband and wife [14]
