The Grammy Award for the Best Album of Contemporary Christian Music ( eng. Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album ) has been awarded at an annual ceremony in the United States since 2012. One of the most prestigious awards in the genre of contemporary Christian music is one of about 100 other nominations of this award, which was established in 1958 [1] . The award is annually awarded by the National Academy of Art and Science of Recording for "artistic achievements, technical knowledge and general excellence in the recording industry, excluding album sales and its position in the charts " [2] .

The category “For the Best Album of Contemporary Christian Music” (Best Contemporary Christian Music Album) has become one of the new categories created during the 2012 Grammy Awards transformations. This award originated from previously existing awards in the categories Best Pop / Contemporary Gospel Album (1991–2011, 1991–1993 as Best Pop Gospel Album), Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album (1991–2011), and Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album (1991–2011; in 1991–1993, it was called Best Southern Gospel Album, and in 1998–2011, it was called Best Southern Gospel, Country Gospel or Bluegrass Gospel Album) [3] . It includes the genres of contemporary Christian music (Contemporary Christian Music, CCM). Other genres known as Urban Gospel and Soul Gospel (Urban Gospel, Soul Gospel) were included in the Grammy Award category for best gospel album [4] .
