Ancient Greek authors identified with Persephone [5] . Dionysius of Halicarnassus (III 32.1) writes that her name is translated into Greek either as Antofora (Flower-bearing), then as Philostefania (Loving wreaths), then as Fersefona [5] .
She was revered in many places in Italy, in particular throughout Central [5] .
According to a recognized opinion, it is considered the Etruscan goddess [5] [2] .
In her honor , the crown of Feronia on Venus and the asteroid (72) Feronia , discovered in 1861, are named.
