The 25th mixed aviation division was formed in August 1940 on the basis of the Decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR [1]

Reorganization of the Division

The 25th Mixed Aviation Division was reorganized on November 23, 1941 into the 25th Fighter Aviation Division .
