Ilya Vladimir Tolstoy ( June 29, 1930 , Novy Bechey , Yugoslavia - May 16, 1997 , Moscow ) - the great-grandson of Leo Tolstoy through his son Ilya , professor, candidate of philological sciences, head of the Russian language style department of the journalism faculty of Moscow State University named after Lomonosov . Biography
Born and raised in exile in Yugoslavia , where he was brought up in the First Russian Cadet Corps . 1945 - at the age of 16 he returned to the USSR . 1953 - graduated from the philological faculty of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov . Since 1954 he worked at the Faculty of Journalism, where he gave lectures and conducted seminars on the courses "Modern Russian Language. Vocabulary. Syntax", "Orthoepy." 1972 - candidate of philological sciences. 1987 - professor. Member of the Russian Language Council under the President of the Russian Federation . He was buried at the Kochakovsky cemetery.
Family
First married to Rita Aleksandrovna Karpenko (June 10, 1930, Bryansk - October 7, 2016). They were divorced in 1986 by their second marriage - in Svetlana Vladislavovna Svetana (March 3, 1938, Novosibirsk - October 29, 2010, Moscow). Children: Ilya Ilyich Tolstoy (December 4, 1954, Moscow), Tolstoy Vladimir Ilyich (September 28, 1962, Moscow).
