Olli Trinky got a good job in life: he made a brilliant career, married his beloved woman and is currently expecting the birth of a child. Work became for him the main priority in life, so he often lingers late and pays less attention to his wife. Gertrude later dies in childbirth from an aneurysm, and Oliver becomes a single father. At this stage of his life, he tries to work hard, leaving his daughter Gerti (named after his wife) in the care of his grandfather. On the day that Oliver has an important press conference scheduled, his father accuses him of not taking enough care of his daughter. Oliver has to go to New York with Gertie, and since he does not know anything about caring for a child, this circumstance causes many difficulties. All you need is to come for an interview on a set day. Oliver is insanely happy; he tells his family about his plans. It turns out that on the day of the upcoming interview, Gerty should participate in a skit at a school concert. Oliver must be there to sing with her. Gertie quarrels strongly with his father, not sharing his plans for moving to New York. Oliver cannot be torn between his daughter and work. On the day of the school concert, he goes for an interview, the director of the magazine is late, and Oliver has to wait in the hallway. Will Smith sits down to him. They talk about life, and Will says that children are all that he has, they make him move forward and are a source of inspiration. Oliver jumps up scalded and rushes to a New Jersey school concert. When he approaches the city, the road is blocked. Oliver drops the car and runs through the city headlong. He manages to concert at the last moment and performs with Gerti. Everyone is happy, Ollie is no longer eager for New York. He understands what is truly valuable to him. The romantic story of Ollie and Maya is just beginning.
