The series consists of five bimetallic coins of precious metals with a face value of 20 hryvnia [1] [2] [3] .
The beginning of the issue, the release of the coins of the series and the issue of the first two coins (“Paleolithic” and “Trehpole”) were announced by two NBU letters dated on the same date - December 19, 2000 [4] [5] . Other coins of the series were announced by NBU letters: Olbia from December 22, 2000 [6] , Scythia from October 29, 2001 [7] , and Kievan Rus from December 24, 2001 [8] .
