OKB Zvezda is the experimental design bureau of the headquarters of the Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation .
The experimental design bureau of plant No. 455 - Kaliningrad Machine-Building Plant Strela (Moscow region, now Kostino microdistrict of the city of Korolev) was established on July 26, 1966 by order of the director of factory No. 455 based on the design bureau of the plant, in accordance with the order of the USSR Minister of Aviation Industry from March 12, 1966.
The main goal of the design bureau was to solve the problem of developing the first Soviet air-to-ground guided missiles.
Later OKB No. 455 was renamed OKB Zvezda.
OKB Zvezda was later transformed by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Scientific and Production Center Zvezda-Strela, and in 2002, into OJSC Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation . [one]
