Alexander Mikhailovich Pecherskikh ( November 22 [1] 1914 - October 10, 1942 ) - Senior Sergeant , commander of the rifle division. He covered the embrasure of the enemy bunker with his chest.

Biography

He was born in 1914 in the village of Grachev Verkh [1] (according to other sources [2] - in the village of Svobodnaya Dubrava ; now - Livensky district, Oryol region ). Russian. Non-partisan.

With the beginning of collectivization, he worked on the collective farm , and then on the state farm .

He fought in the ranks of the 207th Infantry Regiment of the 76th Infantry Division .

He was buried in the Orlovsky farm of the Serafimovichi district of the Volgograd region. There is a monument on the grave.

The descendants of Alexander Mikhailovich Pechersky live in the city of Yellow Waters , as well as in the Oryol region of the Livensky district.

Feat

In September - October 1942, on the South-Western Front, the 207th Infantry Regiment held the defense at the Serafimovich bridgehead - the village of Kletskaya .

On the night of October 10-11, 1942, a platoon of Pechersky’s intelligence went on the offensive with its regiment. A.M. Pecherskikh quietly crawled to the enemy bunker, which interfered with the advancement of units and threw grenades at it. He jumped out of the bunker of five Germans and shot him on the 6th.

After that, on 10.10.1942, during one of the attacks near the Karazhensky farm in the northwest of the village of Kletskaya in the Volgograd Region, a platoon of scouts came under heavy fire from another German bunker . The infantry following it had to lay down. Pechersky crawled to the bunker and seized the moment threw a bunch of grenades into the embrasure . But, the machine gun continued to shoot, and Alexander did not have more ammunition left. And then the Pechersky closed the embrasure with his body.

Award

  • He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner (posthumously). Order of the Commander of the Southwestern Front No. 31 of November 27, 1942
