History

The village of Kharevschina is mentioned on the map of F. F. Schubert in 1844 [2] .

KHAREVSCHINA - a village on the Svir River, peasant population: houses - 28, families - 29, men - 76, women - 79, total - 155;
non-peasant: houses - 2, families - 1, men - 1, women - 1; horses - 21, cows - 37, other - 54. (1905) [4]

In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Miroshkinsky volost of the 1st camp of the Lodeynopolsky district of the Olonets province .

From 1917 to 1921, the village was part of the Pirkinskiy village council of the Moroshkinsky volost of the Lodeynopolsky district of the Olonets province.

Since 1922, as part of the Lunacharsky volost of the Leningrad province .

Since 1927, as part of the Lodeinopolsky district. In 1927, the population of the village was 191 people [5] .

According to 1933, the village of Kharevschina was part of the Pirkinsky Village Council of the Lodeinopolsky District [6] .

From September 1, 1941 to May 31, 1944, the village was in Finnish occupation.

Since 1951, as part of the Tenen Village Council.

Since 1960, as part of the Svirstroevsky Council.

Since 1963, under the subordination of the Podporozhsky City Council.

Since 1965, as part of the Pervomaisky Village Council of Lodeinopolsky District. In 1965, the population of the village was 45 people [5] .

According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Kharevschina was also part of the Pervomaisky Village Council [7] [8] [9] .

In 1997, 172 people lived in the village of Kharevschina, Yanega volost, in 2002 - 160 people (Russians - 91%) [10] [11] .

In 2007, 170 people lived in the village of Kharevshchina of the Yanegsky Joint Venture , in 2010 - 105 people [12] [13] .

Geography

The village is located in the north-eastern part of the district on the highway 41K-001 ( Lodeynoye Pole - Vytegra ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 2 km [13] .

The distance to the nearest Janega railway station is 1.5 km [7] .

The Yanega River flows to the west of the village, and the Svir River to the north.
